Job Description: SharePoint Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
SharePoint Environment Management:
Support and maintain Microsoft SharePoint environments, including SharePoint 2016 On-Premise and SharePoint Online.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch installations, and system configurations to ensure stability and security.
Monitor SharePoint servers, services, and workflows to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide first and second-level technical support for SharePoint-related issues, including user inquiries, system errors, and performance problems.
Diagnose and resolve SharePoint site and application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions promptly.
Resolve day-to-day problems arising from the operational support of SharePoint.
Solution Design & Development:
Perform business analysis and design to develop SharePoint solutions that align with organizational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement enhancements to SharePoint sites and applications.
Deliver solutions using out-of-the-box SharePoint components and third-party tools (e.g., Nintex) to meet business needs.
Design and implement new processes to support Microsoft SharePoint and related systems.
Guide business users on the effective use of SharePoint for Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
Documentation & Training:
Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for end-users and IT staff.
Support migration efforts by validating data and ensuring accurate transfer of information.
Quality Assurance & Reporting:
Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the functionality, performance, and usability of SharePoint solutions.
Generate routine reports that correlate hours worked with operational duties and system performance.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to SharePoint.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies to enhance SharePoint operations and user experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience supporting SharePoint environments (SharePoint 2016 On-Premise and SharePoint Online).
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex system issues.
Knowledge of SharePoint architecture, workflows, and third-party tools (e.g., Nintex).
Ability to perform business analysis and translate requirements into SharePoint solutions.
Excellent communication skills for user support, documentation, and collaboration.
Familiarity with data validation processes for migration efforts.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a SharePoint operations team.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deliver solutions within deadlines.
